Prayer Blanket Ministry

The Roberts Park United Methodist Church Prayer Blanket Ministry began in 2007.  This ministry is an activity of the Gray Fellowship, and provides a custom-made fleece blanket embroidered with the recipient's name and an appropriate scripture verse.  Prayer blankets are given to celebrate marriages, anniversaries and births, as well as to send prayers for healing and strength to those experiencing illness or recovering from an accident or surgery.  The congregation consecrates each blanket during morning worship by laying their hands on the blanket and offering prayer.  Each Prayer Blanket is sure to warm the heart of the recipient as it brings a symbol of prayers for God’s will to manifest in the life of the recipient.
