Community Partnerships

IPS School #58

Roberts Park has a special relationship with Ralph Waldo Emerson IPS School #58, located at 328 N. Linwood Avenue. Our pastors and members volunteer at this urban school, assisting the students, teachers and staff.  We provide tutoring and help in the classrooms, assist with afterschool programs like a runners club, and encourage the staff with special recognitions.  If you are interested in volunteering at School 58, please call the church at 317-635-1636. Urban Gardens

Roberts Park also partners with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the Indy Urban Garden Program to help downtown neighbors establish and tend vegetable gardens.  In 2010 Roberts Park members and friends established a new garden at 1345 S. Meridian Street, which was given the name Green Acres, and provided fresh produce to residents of the area all summer long.  If you are interested in helping with Roberts Park's Urban Garden efforts, please contact Dick Freije.
