Neighborhood Assistance
Through our Neighborhood Assistance program, we lend a helping hand to hundreds of our neighbors each year. Our public assistance day is Monday; please arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. Below are the three specific areas in which we provide assistance:
Birth Certificates from any state
We provide the necessary state form, a check made out to the state agency, and a stamped envelope. Applicant will be responsible for providing the appropriate ID to the state office. Parents can request assistance for themselves and/or their children.
Prescription medications
Maximum of $25 per year; bring the prescription or a previous month’s medication container. Check will be made out to the pharmacy.
Bus passes for the newly employed
Check to IndyGo for $20 for a one-week bus pass. Bring written verification of new employment, or the employer’s phone number so we can call for a confirmation.
