Sunday
Sunday Morning Workship
Our Sunday morning worship service is central to all that we do as a community of faith. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the beautiful, historic sanctuary located on our second floor. The format is traditional in style, with modern elements and creative expressions. Our service begins with the warm hospitality of passing the peace and concludes as members hold hands with one another and sing a blessing of peace.
Music and the Word
Roberts Park Church has a long history of excellent music and preaching. Each Sunday our dedicated and talented choir shares its musical gifts throughout the service. Our bell choir participates in worship on special occasions. Hymns and choral selections are accompanied by the uplifting sounds of our pipe organ, with occasional guest instrumental soloists. Each Sunday our pastors deliver a meaningful sermon that applies the scriptures to our daily living in a way that both challenges and inspires.
Communion and Special Services
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion, and all are welcome to participate, regardless of denomination. We celebrate the idea that everyone is welcome at God’s table.
Throughout the year, there are special services held in our sanctuary, including Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. We also join with other downtown churches to provide services for special occasions, such as an outdoor sunrise service on Easter morning.
- One of the strengths of our congregation is its diversity and readiness to welcome all people. We would love to see you at Roberts Park!
